walking the forest

Meandering through the forest is something I havent done in quiet a few months. I dont think I have been this year at all. Rob and Garren make their way out every Sunday.

Rob and I decided that in keeping with healing it was time for me to venture out with them all. I am so glad I did. Even in the throws of our dry winter I felt the beauty in the hibernating landscape and trees.

This will be a special time I will be looking forward to weekly, again.. I will get to watch as the forest goes from hybernating through winter to awakening into spring.

The soul needs to reconnect with nature and what better way to do it than in your backyard!

the pirate... the friends... the cake....

Another year has passed and we celebrate the birthday of our Garren. We were once again blessed with all our very close family and friends who made time out of their busy lives to celebrate his special day with him.

Although hosting a party like this is thrilling and the suspense through the days leading up to party can be exhausting, Rob and I cherish them. We know that as the years go by they will become few and far between as he grows and this little person of ours tastes will change. Just like they have with our older two boys. So, today as per the norm, we have taken way too many photos and shoved the video camera in everyone who joined ins faces and they of course as well manoured guests and devoted family members humoured us.

Happy birthday Garren... may you be blessed and may we keep being blessed by you!
